Guerrilla-style forces fire rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns and rifles at U.S. soldiers. Iraqis who cooperate with Americans are murdered. Bitter grumbling grows because Iraqis have yet to see fully restored services, like electricity and water, amid the broiling heat.
